The Practice will close half day on Friday 23rd December 2011, for urgent medical advice between 12.00pm and 6.00pm please contact 07743498292

After 6pm 23/12/2011 and on 26th & 27th December please contact North & West Urgent Care on 028 90744447.

The practice will be open on Wednesday 28th, 29th & 30th.

Measles outbreak declared on Merseyside

A measles outbreak has been declared on Merseyside. There are 13 confirmed and 16 suspected cases ranging in age from nine months to adults aged in their 20s. Six people, four children and two adults, required treatment in hospital. This compares to just one confirmed case on Merseyside in the first six weeks of 2011 and one in the corresponding period of 2010.

Update on Legionnaires’ Cluster Associated with a Hotel in Spain

10 February 2012, 1400hrs. The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has this week been alerted by the Spanish public health authorities about a further case of Legionnaires’ Disease in a UK resident who stayed at the Diamante Beach Hotel in Calpe, Costa Blanca, as well as two French cases. This brings the total number of UK residents associated with this cluster to 12, with three deaths.

Outbreak of Salmonella Newport

We welcome all new registrations with the practice. To regsiter with the practice you must have a medical card. If you do not have a card, a duplicate can be obtained from the Central Services Agency.

All new patients who register with the practice will be invited to attend a health screening assessment. This is an extremely important check-up, it is also an opportunity to introduce you to the practice and to the services we can offer you and your family.
