DOCTORS

APPOINTMENTS AND WHAT WE OFFER

The Surgery offers a range of appointments to our Patients and responding to questions and queries and comments from this website we decided to list for ease of reference what we offer. If you think we can improve on this we would be pleased to hear from you.

1. Routine Appointments - Can be made with any doctor in advance.

2. Open Access surgeries mean that patients dont need an appointment and can attend between 8.30am -10.00am On designated days -(see appointments for times and locations of open surgeries).

3. Urgent / Emergency appointments - Patients can see a doctor on the same day if needed by contacting the practice and requesting an emergency appointment. Reception staff will take your details and a doctor will contact you and make appropriate arrangements with you.

We understand that patients who like to see a particular doctor and can't get an appointment for weeks in advance. We hope you understand that patients are registered with the practice and not individual doctors, whilst we understand individual perference if a particular doctor has poor availability this is because they are simply already booked by patients who share the same perference. We can always facilitate other appointments if you need to see a doctor.

Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat Prescriptions From the Monday 21st September 2009 you will no longer be able to order repeat prescriptions on the telephone.

We are putting in place a new system for ordering repeat prescriptions that is designed to deliver a safer and more efficient repeat prescription ordering system.

Please see below the new details for ordering repeat prescriptions that we hope you will recognize as being an easier and quicker way for ordering your repeat medication.

  1. All repeat prescriptions will have a re-order slip printed on the right hand side of your prescription – simply tick the boxes on the items that you require and leave into surgery either Sandy Row or Falls Rd. Repeat prescription re-order boxes will be available in the reception of both surgeries.
  2. Pharmacy Collection – we are aware that some patients are housebound or simply due to personal transport arrangements cannot deliver repeat prescription re-order forms to surgery and indeed collect from surgery. All local pharmacies are aware of the new arrangements at the practice and where the pharmacy is acting as your representative then you simply leave your re-order slip to the Pharmacy and the pharmacy will submit your request to the practice and collect your repeat prescription on your behalf. (Please leave 48 hours notice when ordering via pharmacy)
  3. E-mail – Repeat Prescriptions can also be ordered via our website – www.verefoster.co.uk  , a very easy way to order your repeat prescription, your e-mail request will be processed and ready as per your instruction within 24 hours.
  4. Postal Requests:- you can also post your completed re-order slip with a stamped self addressed envelope and we will send your repeat prescription to you by return post and we will retain a record of your prescription being posted so that we can trace any occurrence of non receipt.
